I would consider this a 2 person salad bowl, depending on how much salad you eat. I eat BIG salads so this would the perfect bowl for me for a personal salad!
Andy turns these bowls with green wood which means fresh, wet wood. As the bowl dries the wood changes shape. A once symmetrical bowl morphs into an organic, asymmetrical shape. I love watching this process happen. The wood goes where it needs to go.
Cherry is a wood that oxidizes, or darkens, with sunlight, age, and use. The color will deepen.
In the pictures, this is the bigger of the two bowls. Smaller bowl and serving set sold separately. Apples not included either.
This bowl was turned from a fallen, giant, old cherry tree in Novelty, OH.
